Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Framemarker respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your data. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use the Framemarker extension.

1. Data Collection and Functionality

Framemarker offers two modes of operation, which affect how your data is stored and processed:

Local Mode (Default)

In local mode, all your frames, notes, collections, and associated data are storedexclusively on your device, using your browser's native storage (chrome.storage.local). No information is sent to our servers or third parties. You have complete control over your data.

Cloud Mode (Sync)

If you choose to use Cloud Mode, you will need to create an account. In this mode, your frames and notes are synchronized using the infrastructure of Supabase, our database and authentication provider.

The stored information includes:

  • Email address for authentication.
  • Captured images (frames), video metadata, and timestamps.
  • Notes and tags created by you.

2. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your data is used exclusively to provide and improve the services of the Framemarker extension.

3. Your Rights and Data Control

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time:

  • Local Mode Users: To delete all your data, simply uninstall the Framemarker extension from your browser. All locally stored data will be automatically removed.
  • Cloud Mode Users: You can delete your frames individually through the dashboard. To request the complete deletion of your account and all associated data, please contact us.

4. Changes to this Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Policy on this page and updating the date at the top of this document.
